Okay so 2015 recap. Imma break this down by months in order to make it easier on myself. So here we go.
January:
Ah January. It starts of what might be the most horrible semester of college I will ever have. I turn 19, with basically a friend to my name, and literally do nothing. I start the semester and it is horrible. Calculus 2 is as hard as everyone said it would be, my physics professor doesn't know how to teach, and generally I'm struggling in all my classes. I drop a class because it'll be absolutely hell. Pretty sure I have depression by the end of the month.
February:
February isn't much better. I spend a lot of time in Patel's dorm, mainly because I can't stand sharing my room with my roommate. It's not like he's a bad guy, I just can't share a room. Grades are slipping, depression is increasing, everything is horrible, and I'm about to break.
March:
Things progress more and more until about halfway through March, when I hit the ultimate low point and break down. I could go into detail, but for my own sanity I won't. Basically this is the darkest of times. After the breakdown, my emotions are literally switched off. The rest of March is a haze of schoolwork and sleep.
April:
April proceeds about the same way as the second half of March, but with one small beacon of hope. One of my really good friends from high school tells me her boyfriend and his friends, who got me into MTG in 2014, need a fourth roommate. Off-campus, my own bedroom and bathroom. I take them up on the offer.
May:
The semester is over. I "survived". I move out of my dorm and start I actually feel emotions again. I start work and my friends from other schools come back. I spend a lot of time with them, and everything looks better and better. Until I get an e-mail basically telling me that I'm screwed cause since I dropped a class, I won't be getting financial aid unless I take a summer course. Well, I need my financial aid, so I sign up for a random elective I need filled with a professor, well-known for being awful. Now most of this occurs in the future months, but it's easier to say it all here. Basically, its a class that wants you to formulate your own opinions. As long as those opinions are the exact same as the professors. Good thing the professor and I agreed on a lot of the course. Oh wait, no we didn't. This made the next two months a pain.
June:
Work picks up, online class starts. Honestly after the hell of the previous semester, I feel invincible, and I kick ass. Basically, more work, both the class and the paid. I live for a week at a hotel near my school for work, which is really cool, and start, and finish reading Homestuck in that period.
July:
July is just more June. Nothing new happens. I just hang out with friends, play the occasional magic game. And just enjoy my life.
August:
Work is over. Class is over. I have two whole weeks of nothing to do. So I either hang out with my friends or sleep. Middle of August, I move into my apartment. And it is amazing. At this point into my epic tale I feel the need to introduce people. So we have:
Sarah: The good friend from highschool. She introduced me to my roommates, and though she doesn't live in my apartment, she might as well.
Caleb: The boyfriend of Sarah. The movie buff. Is graduating this year because he's a freak. Brings in the projector we put in the living room.
Michael: The cool one. He is super chill, if only because if he wasn't, he would die of stress.
Benton: The nemesis. Really early on we start an (entirely friendly) fued that still goes on til now.
There are a lot more, but they aren't super important, but basically here's the short version.
Colin, Sullivan, Nate, Craig - the residents of apartment across the hall. Have known my roommates for a while.
Julia, Subina - Sarah's other roommates.
Caroline - Sarah's last roommate. Will date Benton in the future.
Emma - Michaels girlfriend. Will be introduced later.
And that is everyone. They're all complete assholes and I love them to death. Classes start, but are manageable.
September:
I start going to the library every night because if I didn't I would just good off all day. I finally strike a good balance between not failing and having fun. Sarah is the first to turn 21. And you know what that means. We have parties for football games, and generally have a great time. Somewhere during here Michael and Emma start dating.
October:
Honestly, just more of the same stuff as September. My grades dip a little, but I start to focus a little more and everything is good. We have a Halloween party, I go as Indiana Jones, its pretty great. At some point around here I realize I'm Asexual, and that's neat. Benton and Caroline start dating around here.
November:
Even more of the same, but some other stuff happens. Most of it during Thanksgiving. Firstly, my entire family that lives in Florida rents out a house nearby my college on the lake. Its really weird, they're really crazy generally everything goes okay. I get a PS4 and bloodborne, and play the shit out of it. This the first game I've really played in a while. It will shortly be followed by Undertale. I fall in love with the projector and must have one after Caleb leaves. Honestly that's about it.
December:
The end of the year. Another semester down, without any signs of depression. Everything is great. I finish out the semester with 3 A's and 2 B's. And now we get to the fun part. Disney. I head down to Disney with my three best friends (Morgan, Emily, and Marisa for those that remember the names). I spend 5 days at Disney with them. Then they head back to SC and I stay behind to meet up with my parents. I go to the Star Wars premier at Disney and generally have a fantastic time. Its pretty freaking great. I meet up with my family and we go to Universal and then to Disney, and after two weeks, I'm back in SC, completely dead. The next couple of days involve sleeping only. Which brings us to New Years, which is hilariously uneventful.
And that's 2015. There's only 1.5 more months to type up? Fine I guess.
January 2016:
I turn 20, and it is largely uneventful. I get my parents to give me money to but the Pokemon new 3DS, which I will get in 4 days. Its just really chill, and that's all I really ask for. Classes start, and are surprisingly okay. Nothing really exciting happens in January.
February 2016:
I somehow start absolutely destroying my classes, making A's on just about everything. I've basically hit my stride, and everything looks great. I dropped out of the Honors College, which makes my life easier. I feel better than ever.
So that's it. My life from 2015 to now. This took literally all of calculus 4 and the bus home to write. I will update if I realize I forgot something.
