It has come to my attention that there is a severe lack of books on this forum. While attempting to endure the immense amount of sports that is happening, I suggest that we talk about books too. (Seriously, the question of the day in my spanish class was what the score of the broncos v raiders game yesterday was. We didnt even have to answer in spanish and it started a class long "discussion" about sports.) I would like to change the subject to something where I know what is going on. And dont dare talk about books about sports.

You see, the Broncos v Raiders score is a metaphor for when the Spanish conquistadors raided the Aztec Empire in the 16th Century. Cortez, on his bronco, scored thousands of points on the Aztec women with his charming Spaniard mustache. This book was a best seller for 6 years and will probably win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Ah. That makes much more sense. So the loss of the raiders was a metaphor of hiw the broncos often bucked off the conquistadors as they were riding also due to Cortez's magnificent stach.

Fantasy is best genre. You should all read Patrick Rothfuss and Jim Butcher.

I agree. People are far too preoccupied with sportsball
I prefer literary fiction in general. Anything by Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, David Foster Wallace, and, my favorite, Jonathan Franzen.
I just read Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn and it was amazing.

Btw, my favorite books are usually fntasy or thrillers like the davinchi code. I enjoy books that create large worlds and engulf me in them. I am very artsy c:

I enjoy strong character development and then flipping their worlds upside down and seeing how they deal with it.

I love almost all types of literature, with a main leaning toward fantasy. I still have so much shit I need to read.

"Back when I had time" is the key statement there...
